I'm not talking about Bilic? I don't know why you keep mentioning him. That's another conversation surely? I sense you're trying to make a point though, so just make it?

This is about Moyes, and I think my concerns are genuine and not at all 'snidey' as you were quick to point out.

What ever happened to ICONIC ?

oh.....

Read what I've written Macca, son. I don't think I disagree in any way on Moyes.

What has been confusing the fuck out of me is how, in some people's eyes, Bilic is in no way to blame for our current predicament and has been made a fall guy.

Re: How About We Support The New Manager ?
I believe that fitness has often been a problem at our club. PDC had his own fitness trainer.... Fat Frank and Joe Cole both lost weight after signing for Chelsea.
Fitter players should be less tired in the last 10 minutes of a game, retain their touch and make less mistakes. It doesn't mean that we will play more attractive football but maybe we won't be shipping stupid goals in the last few minutes of a game.
If we get a fitter team under Moyes I'm all for it.

Re: How About We Support The New Manager ?
Well this is why I'm talking about it. As I said, all I've been hearing is he will bring more intense training, more professionalism, be disciplined etc etc. Not just on here, but on Talk sport and various other news sites. Where is this assumption coming from? How do people know?

I have nothing against Moyes. 6 years ago I wouldn't have had anything against him being here. All I have seen in the last 4 years though is him make 3 teams worse under his management. I hear no fans of those clubs say anything positive about him. It's confusing the fuck out of me.

If you can be bothered, here's a Sunderland fans take on him.

Re: How About We Support The New Manager ?
The point is, what are the things Moyes needs to address if he is to even start being seen as competent? He needs to look at our record this year, our goals against, the fact that our players do not look like they give a fuck, can't be bothered and hide in matches. Can he address these? Fucked if I know and I don't hold out much hope, but let's hope he's got a point to prove and makes some difference in these areas over the next 6 months before he fucks off to manage Millwall.

Loving this season's new buzz words.

FITNESS
INTENSITY

"But anyway, allegedly, the overall message was lack of discipline and lack of intensity in training.

Seems a bit odd to me that this message wasn't given to him before now. Although it may have been and he never acted on it? "

Most of the snivelling little turds just moaned to the owners and to their mates about it. If they were that bothered, they had 23 other hours in the day to work on their own fitness, although I don't suppose that dawned on them.

Still, no excuses for them now - they have ORGANISATION and DISCIPLINE. All on their heads now as far as I'm concerned, not MOYESIE.

Yes, it is being discussed on here rather a lot. I think we can all see it's shocking and none of us want him here.

Re: How About We Support The New Manager ?
It's more to do with the incompetence of the cunt board. I've nothing against Moyes personally, bar the fact he's been fucking shit for the past 5 years.

Re: How About We Support The New Manager ?
What are you going on about? Can we not discuss Moyes and his recent record then?

White Pony 10:20 Wed Nov 8
Re: How About We Support The New Manager ?
All I know Macca is that we should all hope Moyes is a failure so we can be all snidey about it and tell everyone Bilic was the man for the job all along. That's what is important here, fuck fitness.

Re: How About We Support The New Manager ?
His team finished 20th in the league last season?

Not sure where they were in the all important SPRINTS table though?

Kaiser Zoso 10:12 Wed Nov 8
Re: How About We Support The New Manager ?
Would it mean Moyes might not willingly accept being 20th in the division for sprints, and distance covered

One McAvennieeeeee 10:07 Wed Nov 8
Re: How About We Support The New Manager ?
What does it even mean, Pony? I never knew so many people on here were experts in fitness.

Our unfit, unmotivated, UNDER TRAINED team finished well above his motivated, fully trained team last season.

I'm confused?

White Pony 10:05 Wed Nov 8
Re: How About We Support The New Manager ?
Yes, let's hope the new manager doesn't bring any intensity into our training.

One McAvennieeeeee 9:48 Wed Nov 8
Re: How About We Support The New Manager ?
Let's hope MOYSIE doesn't bring the INTENSE training sessions he's used over the last 4 years that have weakened every single team he's managed.

I'd say that's a tad more worrying than any story coming out the club at the moment.

Re: How About We Support The New Manager ?
Heard a worrying story on TS today that Bilic phoned round the players after getting sacked asking him where he went wrong. That made me quite sad to be honest.

But anyway, allegedly, the overall message was lack of discipline and lack of intensity in training.

Seems a bit odd to me that this message wasn't given to him before now. Although it may have been and he never acted on it?

Re: How About We Support The New Manager ?
I have a feeling he'll do alright actually as everyone has such low expectations of him and West Ham tend to do well as underdogs, they'll be a shift now as the problems with our fitness and organisation are easy-enough to solve by any manager that hasn't gone soft.

Then again even at Everton where he WAS a success the fans eventually grew sick of him so it's still kind of lose lose anyway.

In any case watching a competent football outfit again would be a refreshing change.

Re: How About We Support The New Manager ?
I expect our players have not being doing enough in training, but there's more to training than physical effort.

(See Felix Magath).

Physical effort doesn't help players to know what to do on the pitch, and we've suffered more from wrong decisions than lack of fitness, in my opinion. We've not looked that unfit in either our fruitful or fruitless comeback attempts.

Re: How About We Support The New Manager ?
Everyone save for those non-supporters who want us to get relegated "to punish the Dildo brothers" (or any other reason, for that matter) WANTS him to do well.

Criticising the appointment on here is not "getting on his [Moyes'] back", unless he's spending so much time on here that we should be getting his back...
